This hotel is located in the centre of Bergen just a couple of minutes walk from the picturesque historical harbour. The rooms vary in size due to the age of the building, but most are medium sized. They are nicely decorated in pale colours with high quality furniture. Both the rooms and the bathrooms are in exceptional condition. The restaurant is well known for its traditional Norwegian fare. This is a hotel where a lot of thought has gone into the design of the property, resulting in a very traditional Norwegian product, with an excellent location. It comes highly recommended particularly for the discerning individual traveler.

Reviews:
We stayed at this Best Western for two nights following our 7-day cruise on the Hurtigruten (fabulous!) and a 6-day stay in Balestrand (double fab!). Before checking in we had just been bumped from the Augustin Hotel (across the street) and we were relocated here. The four of us were obviously upset about the inconvenience and abrupt nature of how this was done. However, this hotel went out of their way to make us happy. They upgraded our rooms without us saying anything. Accommodations were simple even in their deluxe rooms but we were comfortable and the breakfasts were more than satisfying. We left feeling very satisfied.

Really nice hotel in a great location in Bergen. The market is a 5 min walk.
The hotel is on the harbour and is not near to any loud bars/clubs so getting sleep is not a problem.
I had requested a non-smoking room, but was placed in a smoking room. I asked to be moved and it was no problem. The staff were really helpful. The room was very small, but the bathroom was a good size.
Breakfast was buffet style and was very good also.
I would defintely recommend this hotel to travellers on a budget!
